CruisEdit

CRUIS Edit is not a full featured content management system and is not meant to be one. Its basic ideas are:

• Easy switching to edit mode while visiting your own pages
• Make the URL look like static pages and enable easy mirroring this way
• Edit the plain HTML directly
• Make up your page from several parts. This provides the possibility to easily maintain several pages with same layout without using frames (Yeah, I still do not like them ...)
• While editing one of those parts, show the other ones in their default view mode. (e.g. have your default surroundings while changing the text in the middle)

In the beginning, CruisEdit was heavily inspired by MiniContent, so I give credits to its authors here. But as no code taken from MiniContent survived in the end, I hope to be the only copyright holder of CruisEdit. If you have a differnt opinion on that, please contact me politly, I am sure we are able to agree on that this way or the other. Unfortunantly, the MiniContent project seems to have silently died, so there is no web site I can reference to at this point to show you what I am talking about.
